- NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK
This year’s National Public Health Week (NPHW) takes place from April 5-11 and focuses on eliminating health disparities. The NPHW toolkit and planner’s guide are now available online to help plan for this event.

- HEALTH CARE EXECUTIVE PROGRAM
The Johnson & Johnson/UCLA Health Care Executive Program is a management development course for executive directors and leaders of community-based health care organizations. Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2004.

- LOCAL INITIATIVE FUNDING PARTNERS
The Local Initiative Funding Partners program, a partnership between The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and local grantmakers, supports innovative, community-based projects to improve the health of and health care for society’s most vulnerable people. The application deadline is July 14, 2004.

- GUIDANCE ON LEGALITY OF DISCOUNTING CHANGES
The Office of the Inspector General has released a guidance document on the legality of discounting charges for services health care providers deliver to low-income underinsured or uninsured individuals (including Medicare beneficiaries).
