  • WE NEED NHSC CLINICIANS AND SITE ADMINISTRATORS TO PARTICIPATE!
    HRSA/BHPR/NHSC and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will sponsor "Closing the Gap on Access and Integration: Primary and Behavioral Health Care Summit.” Four regional Summits are planned between May and October 2004 designed to expand access and integrate quality mental health and substance abuse services with primary care, and create strategies for enhancing the infrastructure that supports behavioral health care in community-based settings.

  • COVER THE UNINSURED WEEK
    Taking place May 10-16, Cover the Uninsured Week is designed to raise awareness of the 44 million Americans living without health insurance. More than 1,000 events to mark the occasion are planned in communities across the country.

  • SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT GRANTS
    The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment is offering grants under the Targeted Capacity Expansion Grants program. These grants are intended to help communities reach out to and treat substance abusers.

  • LOCAL INITIATIVE FUNDING PARTNERS PROGRAM 2005
    Local Initiative Funding Partners (LIFP) is a partnership program between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and local grantmakers that support innovative, community-based projects to improve health care for society’s most vulnerable people.

    Building staff loyalty, engaging employees, and reducing turnover are three of the most important aspects of developing and maintaining a successful organization.
