Students pursuing careers in primary care can receive scholarships for serving communities in need upon graduation and completion of training.
Clinical practice sites can recruit and retain qualified providers by becoming an NHSC-approved site.
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) invites providers to register and participate in the first “NHSC Virtual Job Fair” on Thursday, February 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET. Space is limited and registration for providers closes on February 21. Register Today!
The NHSC Loan Repayment Program (LRP) offers primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers the opportunity to have their student loans repaid for serving communities in need.
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Students to Service Loan Repayment Program (S2S LRP) pilot provides loan repayment assistance to medical students (MD and DO) in their last year of school, in return for a commitment to provide primary health care services in eligible Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) of greatest need.
Eligible health care facilities may complete the NHSC Sites application with all required supporting documents online.
Critical Access Hospitals may now apply to become an NHSC-approved site.

Students to Service Loan Repayment Program
The 2012 Student to Service Loan Repayment Program Application Cycle is now closed.
- We appreciate your interest in this program. Awards will be made no later than January 31, 2012.
- Applicants not selected for an award will be notified no later than February 28, 2012.
- This is a “pilot” program, and future application cycles will be based on the availability of funds.

Next application cycle opens spring 2012. Responses to 2011 applications were sent by September 30, 2011.
